With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Birma Sawyer (Black Mountain, North Carolina), born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Boone and Maude Boone; her husband Jimmie Sawyer; and her son Jimmie Max Sawyer. She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Ray (Teresa) and Anthony Carroll (Mitzi); her grandsons, Seth Sawyer and Cody Sawyer (Laura); her great grandchildren, Christian and Addison Sawyer; and her siblings, Bethel Ammons and Wayne Boone. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Buckeye Cove Community Club, PO Box 865, Swannanoa, NC 28778.
