She was predeceased by: her parents, David Speight and Betty Mae Webb; and her siblings, Barbara Francis, Emma Jean King and Johnny Provence.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Wayne May; her children, Alisabeth Rose Pender of Wilson, David Neil Pender of Wilson, Jack Edward Pender, Jr. of Greenville and Michael Wayne May; her sister Betty Dixon of Wilson; and her grandchildren, Caroline, Abilgail, Will, James Pender, Gavin and Gabriel Tucker.
