She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Fredrick Gorman; her parents, Robert Lee and Victoria Lucas Hayes; and her siblings, Mildred Crumpler, Shelby Watson, Waldine Hooks, Margie Batchelor, R. T. Hayes and Bill Hayes.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Bronson (David) of New Kent, VA and Steve Gorman (Rebecca) of Lucama; her grandchildren, Amy Phillips (John) of Hampstead, Jessica Johnson (Zach) and Joshua Bronson (Giovanna) of New Kent, VA; her stepgrandchildren, Angie Perry (Will) of Sims, Billie Overstreet, Isabell Overstreet and Luke Overstreet; her great grandchildren, Oscar Phillips, Henry Johnson, Gabriella and Luca Bronson; her sister Bobbie Ann Carter of Oklahoma; and her caregivers, Jessie Jones and Sharon Carroll.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wilson Memorial Service (2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, NC 27896). Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Daniels Chapel FWB Church, 4828 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson, NC 27893.
