He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Parrish Hayes; his sons, Paul Hayes (Bonnie Bottoms-Hayes) and Scott Hayes (Anita Barnes) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Crystal Hall, Kaylin Hayes, Karissa Smelcer (Tyler), Alexis Hayes, Dylan Hayes and Chandler Parrish; his great grandchildren, Braxton Hall and Jacob Thomas; and his sisters, Cleo Gorman of Black Creek and Bobbie Ann Carter.
