He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dallas Saunders and Blanche Harris Saunders; his son Billy Wayne Hicks; his wife Judith Ann Lewis Saunders; his children, Rodney Dale Hicks, Brigette Hicks of Biscoe and Myra Hicks of Candor; and his grandchildren, Dalton Hicks, Billy Hicks and Tasha Hicks. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.
