She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert and Katie Lois Hinnant Parker; her husband Don Fales; her daughter Anne Sanders; and her brothers, Waymon, Earl and Grady Parker.

She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Ussery of Star, Marie Liebelt of Durham and Nancy McFadden of Monetta, VA; and her brother Charles Parker of Biscoe. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
