He was predeceased by: his parents, George Preston and Mertie Mae Massey Howell; and his siblings, Opal Webb, Helen Stephenson, Martha Richardson, Betty Gordon and Joe Howell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Etta Mae Auman-Fields (Dan) of Greensboro, Barbara Howell of Asheboro and Jones Lamar Howell (Cindi); his caregiver Ericka; his niece Donna Small; and also Junior. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has decided to plan a private memorial service at a later date and would like to allow family and friends to make memorial donations in Juniors memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
