It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Shippy of Biscoe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 29, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Leland and Bernice Monroe Shippy; and his sisters, Sonja Peterson and Claudia LaFaver. He is survived by: his children, Kandice Shippy VeraCovarrubias of Trinity and Christopher Franklin Shippy of Mocksville; his granddaughter Crystal Blackwell of Charlotte; and his nephew Michael LaFaver.
