He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Butler and Ethel McNeill Butler; his daughter Connie Good; and his siblings, Viola Monroe, Betty Wallace, Christine Hussey and Odell Butler, Jr..
He is survived by: his son Dal Alexander Butler, II; and his sister Laura Ann Brady. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
