He was predeceased by: his parents, Risdon Webster and Ariel Mae Cole Thompson; and his wife Shirley Byrd Thompson. He is survived by: his sons, Rev. Chuck Thompson (Debbie) of Apex, Donnie Thomspon (Sharon) of Candor, Barry Thompson (Kim) of Candor and Eric Thompson (Heather) of Wilmington; and his siblings, JoAnn Greene (Cecil) of Biscoe and Hugh Thompson (Diane) of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
