With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Casteen Batchelor of Beulaville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 101. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Casteen and Nancy Casteen (Maready); her husband Roland; and her pets, Belle and Tommy.
She is survived by: her stepmother Mary Casteen; her aunt Tempie; her uncle Lawrence Henderson; her great grandchildren, Birdie Mae, Beau Gentry Batchelor, Lou and Porter Heisler; her children, Tim (Mary) and Dale (John Thomas); her grandchildren, Hayden, Brandon (Lesley) and Brooke (Chris); her siblings, Reid (Bessie Ann), Faye, Ruby, Macie, Joe, Lonnie and Donald; and her grandson Rivers. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in her honor.
