She was predeceased by: her mother Evaline Smith; and her granddaughter Jacey Newkirk. She is survived by: her husband Homer James (Buddy); her daughters, April Bizzell and Crystal James; her siblings-in-law, Edwin James and Jane James; her grandchildren, Desmond (Maggie), Xzavier, Dashawn, Mariah (Dustyn) and Halei; her great grandchildren, Aubree, Drake and Willow; and her extended family, Heather (Jessie), Brittany (Mark), Kimberly, Amanda, Justin, Jamey, Weston and Wyatt.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Community Funeral Home (840 W Main St, Beulaville, NC 28518). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
