He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Batts and Rosa Carter; and his wife Wilma Jarmon Batts. He is survived by: his children, Thomas W. Batts of Beulaville, Gregory W. Batts of Barnesville, Gary W. Batts of North Charleston and Terri Batts Miley of Richland; his grandchildren, Chrystie Batts Sticht, Jennifer Batts Rice, Michael Batts, Joey Batts, Sarah Miley Shaff and Charlotte Miley Richter; and his siblings, Carolyn Price of Holly Ridge, Gloria Raynor of Fountaintown, Patricia Mobley of Holly Ridge and Royce Batts of Raleigh. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
