He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Atkins Simpson and Ida Mae Brinson Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mobley Simpson; his children, Audrey Carter (Randy) of Richlands, Jonathan Simpson (Jennifer) of Beulaville and Justin Simpson (Roxi) of Pink Hill; his grandchildren, Randall Carter (Candace), Ivey Carter (Angelica Valdez), Josiah Carter (Aubree), Joshua Adam Carter, Ryan Simpson, Brayden Simpson and Makenzie Simpson; and his great grandchildren, Brayden Miller, Jayce Carter, Chansley Grace Carter and Madalyn Carter. He is also survived by three sisters and brothers.
