She was predeceased by: her husband Vance Junior Basden; and her children, Vance Allen Basden and Melinda Basden Welch. She is survived by: her sons, Samuel Lee Basden (Tiffany) of Mooresville, NC and Jeffrey Basden (Missy) of Beulaville, NC.; her siblings, Vernell Basden of Beulaville, NC. and W. D. Thigpen of Beulaville, NC.; and her grandchildren, Carmen Hobbs, MacKenzie Basden, Kendra Thompson, Hannah Huffman, Alana Huffman, Makayla Basden and Hunter Basden.
