He is survived by: his wife Janet Byrd Jones of Kenansville, NC; his children, Thomas Andrew "Andy" Jones of Kenansville, NC and Melissa Godwin (Buck) of Plainview, NC.; his sister Linda Jones Aycock (Herbert) of Wallace, NC.; and his grandchildren, Zach Godwin (Connie) and Cameron Godwin.
