It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Carl Hovis (Bessemer City, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on September 11, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Crown Hovis; his wife Sandra McCraw Hovis; and his brother Rogers Hovis (Naomi). He is survived by: his parent Lula Palmer Hovis; his children, Pastor Thomas Hovis (Samantha), Deborah Hovis Moore (Carl) and Mary Hovis Ledford; and his grandchildren, Casey Franklin, Zachary Brown, John Zimmerschied, Joshua Moore, Christopher Moore, Katie Moore, Shannon Hovis and Beverly Hovis.
