She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Kurtz; her former husband Nick Penner; her husband Ken Socie; and her siblings, Paul, Stanley and Shirley Kurtz.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Buchanan (Mikie); and her grandchildren, Gracie and Trey Buchanan.
