She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ervin and Louise Hardin Griffin; her husband Larry Dale Waldroup, Sr.; and her son-in-law Michael Todd Freeman. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Ann Freeman, Larry Waldroup, Jr. and Melinda Waldroup; her siblings, Donnie Griffin (Lou Ann), Richard Griffin, Patricia Moxley and Betty Jean Murray; her grandchildren, Justin Freeman, Ashley Chasteen (Dustin), Larry Dale Waldroup III (Alyssa), James Tyler Waldroup (Madeline), James Connard (Megan) and Joshua Connard; and her great grandchildren, Annsleigh, Rylan, Corbin, James, Bentley, Gracey, Baby Waldroup, Waylon Dale, Lainey Mae, James Jr., Mackenzie, Anthony and Margaret.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle (2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
