It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marietta Joyce Clinton (Bessemer City, North Carolina), born in Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shuler and Merle Shuler; her daughter Sandra Joyce Garcia; her stepchildren, David Wayne Clinton and Gloria Kloosterman; and her granddaughter Betty Sue Shafer.
She is survived by: her husband David Clinton; her children, Ronnie Shuler (Tina), Danny Goodson (Brenda) and Joyce Roper (Mike); her stepsons, Randall Clinton and William Clinton; her sisters, Shirley Gates and Irene Goodson (Junior); and her grandchildren, Cerina Shuler, Tommy Shuler, Brian Goodson, Amanda Goodson, Christie Taylor, Joe Hass, Dayson Haas, Brent Haas and J. C. Miller. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
