He was predeceased by: his parents, J. P. Walker and Ethel Fortenberry Walker. He is survived by: his wife Colette Turner Walker; his children, John Wesley Walker of Stanley and Krista Walker Dilling (Mark) of Dallas; his siblings, Arnold Walker of Gastonia and Nancy Walker of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Victoria Dilling, Matthew Dilling and Jonathan Walker; his nephew Marshall Walker (Lauren) of Charlotte; and also Hays Walker.

Memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church Building Fund, 510 E. Alabama Avenue, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
