She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lester and Edith Jennings Grissom; her spouses, Rev. George Grissom (Sylvia), Gene Grissom (Kathleen) and Eva Grissom Jones (Nathan); and her brothers-in-law, Walter Hamilton, Vernon Cahoon and Gene Glaze.

She is survived by: her daughter Christy; her son-in-law Clifton Crowe of Dallas, NC; her son Randy Allen Barbee of Iron Station, NC; her grandsons, Taylor Graham and Caleb Crowe; her great grandchildren, Rylan of Dallas, NC and Tensley Graham of Dallas, NC; and her sisters, Shirley Grissom Hamilton of Wilson, NC and Carolyn Grissom Glaze of Hickory, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
