He is survived by: his wife Mary Bridges; his children, John Patrick "Pat" Bridges, II, Beverly Kay Herring and Jessica Bridges Calder (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Mandi Marie Bridges, Travis Russell Bridges, Amber Nichole Darby, Mickey Christopher Herring, Dawson James Calder, Thomas Jay Calder and Gracie Olivia Calder.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, 618 Chestnut Ridge Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
