He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lee and Lela Detter Costner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Costner; his sons, Jerry Lee Costner (Tracy) of Bessemer City and Roger Costner (Tammy) of Kings Mountain; and his sister Doris Tyno of Clover, SC.
