It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jake Black Jr. of Bessemer City, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Monroe Black, Sr. and Eva Kiser Black; and his children, Joseph Black and Monica Black. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Sorrells (Louis) and Kimberly Black; and his grandchildren, Jason Black, Travis, Troy Doss and Jennifer Benjamin.
