She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy O. Hicks and Pearl H. Hicks; her daughter Lisa Dawn Taylor; and her sisters, Rev. Dorothy Lowery, Gladys Perry Gardner and Yvonne Patterson.

She is survived by: her husband Monroe Taylor; her daughters, Crystal Seagraves (Roger) and Melanie Hollis; her grandsons, Roger Dale Seagraves III (Jaclyn) and Wilson Gary Hollis III; and her great grandchild Blakley Layne Seagraves.
