He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Hugh Carpenter, Sr.; and his wife Rachel Carpenter. He is survived by: his siblings, Libby Wyont and Todd; his sister-in-law Sandy Carpenter; his stepson Michael Humphries; his nieces and nephews, Shane Wyont, Chris Wyont and Emma Heavner; his aunt Pat; and his uncle Charles Smith.
