It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Martin (Bessemer City, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bowen and Reba Henson Bowen; her daughter Jacqueline Hawes; her brother Audie Bowen; her niece Michelle Scruggs; and her great-nephew Preston Scruggs.
She is survived by: her husband Curtis Jeffery Martin; her children, Ashley Martin and John Hawes, Jr. (Rebecca); her siblings, Frank Bowen and Angie Johnson; and her grandchildren, Evan Martin, Kody Graham, Tyrn and Emma Hawes. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and her extended family.
