He is survived by: his children, Johnny Painter (Joyce) of Dallas, Judy Green (Joe) of Gastonia and Abby McGill (Rick) of Shelby; and his brother Norman Panter. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
