It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Brittain (Bessemer City, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on January 29, 2019, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Brodus Houser and Doris Turner Houser; her son Jerry Glenn Watkins; and her sister Libby Cabiness. She is survived by: her husband Floyd Carroll "Shorty" Brittain; her sons, Dale Watkins of Shelby, Jimmy Watkins (Allison) of Mooresboro and Ronnie Watkins (Laura) of Shelby; and her half-sister Renee Houser of Cherryville. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
