He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his siblings, Joe Lee Farris (Nellie) and Ruby Farris Sellers; and his friends, Bonnie and Dennis Bridges.
He is survived by: his children, Dick Farris (Jenny Carrington) and Susanne Farris Pearson (Gary); and his friends, Nancy England, Kermit Hutchins and Sharon Gentry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Long Creek Presbyterian Church (701 Long Creek Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28016). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Sunnyside Baptist Church Cemetery (1631 Tryon Courthouse Rd, Bessemer City, NC 28016).
