It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Rae Slate Novak of Bermuda Run, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on June 29, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil A. Slate and Grace Collins Slate; her husband Cory Steven Novak; and her siblings, Mildred Prillaman Glenn, Graham Slate and Bruce Slate.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Allen (Christine Danforth) and Gordon Mark (Melissa Danforth); her grandchildren, Grace Elena Danforth, Michael John Danforth, Lauren Elizabeth Danforth and Gordon Slate Danforth; and her sisters, Betty S. Hiatt and Brenda Kay Ogburn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
