She was predeceased by: her parents, Redden Surcey and Leslie Ryals Surcey; her husband Melvin C. Johnson; and her brothers, Charles Surcey and Melvin Surcey.

She is survived by: her son Dale Johnson of Benson; and her sister Corine Pilkington of Benson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
