He was predeceased by: his father Edward Warren Guin; and his grandparents, Enos, Gladys Parrish, Simpson and Dixie Guin.

He is survived by: his son Matthew Guin (Britney); his mother Sue Parrish Guin (Laurcey Massengill); his granddaughter Adilene Guin; and his aunt Helen Autry (Glenn) of Erwin, NC..
