He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Eugene and Pearl Tart Lee. He is survived by: his wife Jean Dale Freeman Lee; his children, Susan Lee of Raleigh and David "Davy" Eugene Lee, Jr. of Meadow; his pet Niklas; and his sister-in-law Cathy F. Jackson of Benson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
