With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Barefoot (Benson, North Carolina), who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rossie B. Barefoot and Ada Mae Lee Barefoot; his daughter Sylvia Mae Barefoot; and his sisters, Ruth Thompson and Lois Hood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Sinclair (Wayne), Tonia Lancaster (Todd) and Christy Massengill (David); his grandchildren, Casey Lee, Kaitlyn Jernigan, Kaylen Johnson (Bryan), Austin Sinclair (MaKayla Bullock), Tyler Lancaster (Hayley Pleasants), Nathan Massengill (Mary), Kelsey Lancaster, Jamie Cole, Chase Massengill, Kendall Jackson, Darylana Massengill and Jarrett Allen; his great grandchildren, Braylen, Camden, Riley, Kallie Nicole, Jaxson and Tyler Jr.; his brother Keith Barefoot (Helen); his daughter Kaye Barefoot; his nephews, Ross Barefoot (Nicole) and Marty Marler (Ceicla); his sister-in-law Faye Marler; his brother Jim Floyd; and his friends, Kim and Wayne.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Young Family Cemetery (2675 NC-242, Benson, NC 27504).
