He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Evans and Mary Pearl Campbell Summerlin; and his sister Joy Grimsley. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, David (Michelle), Shelly Smith (Ryan), Heather Cannady (Greg), Crystal Johnson (Mark Beasley) and Angela Creech (Tod); and his sister Carolyn Dawson (Darrell). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Smyrna Ofwb Church (11415 NC-96, Dunn, NC 28334). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
