He was predeceased by: his parents, Brant A. Johnson and Ada Clifton Johnson; and his sisters, Ethelea J. Flowers, Faye J. Blackmon, Evelyn Johnson and Shirley J Brantley.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Stephenson Johnson; his sons, Duane Johnson (Louise) of Garner, Todd Johnson (Donna) of Smithfield and Rev. Scott Johnson (Rita) of Benson; his grandchildren, Samantha J. Dunn (Adam) of Benson, Jeremiah Johnson of Garner, Meghan J. Thomas (John) of New Bern, Abby J. Glover (Jay) of Smithfield, Clifton Johnson (Siobhan Brennan) of Raleigh and Kevin Johnson (Samantha) of Benson; and his great grandchildren, Annistyn Thomas, Hunter Dunn and Chandler Glover.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Inc. (301 W Main St, Benson, NC 27504). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Life Baptist Church (2100 Harmony Ct, Clayton, NC 27520).
