It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Ruth Wood Adams of Benson, North Carolina, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Holton and Varena Blackmon Wood; and her husband Caris D. Adams. She is survived by: her children, Stanley Adams (Tracy) of Goldsboro, Randy Adams (Annette) of Four Oaks and Jo Ellen Clifton (Ken) of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Conner Adams (Jessica), Kailey Adams, Nicholas Adams (Linn), Lauren Harmon (Kyle), Luke Adams, Blake Clifton and Brett Clifton (Madison); her great grandchildren, Brenna Adams, Emma Adams, Eli Harmon, Aubrey Harmon and Whitley Clifton; and her brother Ronnie D. Wood.
