He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Everett Rives and Shirley Wilson Rives; his brothers, Gary, Christopher and Billy; and his foster brother Butch Hefner.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Leonard Rives; his sons, Rocky Rives II of Bear Creek and Corey Rives of Bear Creek; his grandchildren, Tyler Rives, Adrian Rives, Lydia Rives and Brandon Rives; his father-in-law Jesse Leonard; and his extended family, Maradith Gatens, Brandy Spivey, Neveah Testerman, Kelly Jeffries and Olivia Lee.
