He was predeceased by: his parents, William Virgil and Ruby Brady Leonard; and his brother Billy Joe Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Leonard; his children, Angie Allen (Chad) of Coleridge, Robert Chad Leonard (Chanda) of Bennett and Justin Leonard (Casie) of Coleridge; his grandchildren, Addison Allen, Carley Leonard and Austin Leonard; and his siblings, Becky Ritter of Coleridge, Recil Leonard (Phyllis) and Ted Leonard (Jane).
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church (5946 Pleasant Grove Church Rd, Bennett, NC 27208).
