It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Marie Phillips of Bennett, North Carolina, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Mae Boyd Powers and Ulysses Marvin Powers; her husband Calvin Phillips; and her son-in-law Charles Hackney. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Phillips Hackney of Bennett and Pam Phillips Craven (Kelly) of Bennett; her grandchildren, Tony Hackney (Tara) of Robbins, Jerry Hackney (Kathy) of Bennett, Drew Hackney (Maggie) of Siler City and Kyla Craven of Bennett; her great grandchildren, Jacy Hackney, Finnlie Hackney and Karver Hackney; and her grandchildren, Yianni Kakouras and Kosta Kakouras.
