Leah Short Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leah Short of Bennett, North Carolina, who passed away on March 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Brown and Melissa Purvis Brown; her husbands, Byron Peace and Clarence Short; and her brothers, Wilburn of Stacy, J. H. and Clifton Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Thomas of Siler City and Beth Maness (Timmy) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Kelly Koonts (Shane) of Archdale and Natalie Powers (Michael) of Siler City; her great grandchildren, Bryson Adelman, William, Andrew Koonts, Leah Kathryn and Riley Anne Powers; her stepchildren, Kathy Owens (Pat), Deanna Dangerfield (Keith) and Alan Short (Elizabeth); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Etta Brown and Jearline Brown.
