He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Kennedy Powers; his children, Susan Powers and Michael Powers; and his parents, Curtis Ernest and Alta Jones Powers.
He is survived by: his sons, Philip Powers (Valerie) of Bennett and Tim Powers (Patricia) of Archdale; his grandchildren, Rachel Henley (David) and Ashley Loehr (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Brent Henley, Reagan Henley, Anna Henley, Jackson Loehr and Emmett Loehr.
