He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brown and Ida Caviness Brown; his son Randy; and his siblings, Irene, Pauline, Vera, Melvin, John Neil, Earl and Raymond.
He is survived by: his son Michael Brown (Karen) of Bennett; his close friend Carol Brady of Bennett; his siblings, Ann Bland (Wayne) of Mebane, Russell Brown of Bennett and J. W. Brown (Wanda) of Bennett; his grandchildren, Tabitha, Raymond (Shelby) and Jonathan; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Connor, Autumn and Hagan.
