He was predeceased by: his parents, Clenton W., Sr. and Evelyn Parrish Slades; and his wife Mary Cecilia Warner Slades. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Slades of Belvidere; his siblings, Kay Dennison of Jarvisburg and Mike Slades (Connie) of Edenton; his nieces, Misty and Jessica; and his nephew Brett. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
