It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Teny Layden Jr. of Belvidere, North Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver, Sr. and Ruth Winslow Layden; his wife Avis Winslow Layden; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Riddick, Marvis Parrish and Millard "Shorty" Layden.
He is survived by: his children, Jan L. Terranova (Greg) of Hertford, James O. "Jimmy" Layden, III (Sheila) of Belvidere, Tommy Layden of Belvidere and Barry Keith Layden of Hobbsville; and his siblings, Betty Lois Lane of Orlando, FL, Wesley E. Layden, Sr. of Hobbsville and Kenneth Ray Layden of Belvidere. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
