It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucy Perry Jennings of Belvidere, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Emerson Perry and Ira Rebecca Copeland Perry; her husband Garland Courtney Jennings, Sr.; and her siblings, Bessie Sawyer, Rudolph Perry, Lessie Amato, Viola Overman and Alice Louise Perry.
She is survived by: her son Garland C. "G. C."; her siblings, T. E. Perry of Hobbsville, Leona Perry of Hertford, Pat Amato of Hertford, Curtis Perry of Hertford, Madeline Langley of Hertford and Joe Perry of Tyner; her grandchildren, Hope Swinney (David), Jeremy Jennings (Kumori), David Owens, Paul Owens (Mallory) and John "J. T."; and her great grandchildren, Ruth, Wyatt Swinney, Jocelyn and Luke Jennings. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, no formal visitation will be held, however friends may visit with the family at the gravesite immediately following the services on Wednesday.
