He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernanda A. Jordan and Annie Clifton Jordan; his wife Shirley Faye Layden Jordan; his sons, Darryl Russell Jordan and Leslie Norman Lawrence "Charlie" Jordan; his brothers, Hubert Jordan and Paul Jordan (late Margie); and his siblings-in-law, Frances Jordan, Jarvis Copeland and Jackie Bass.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Jordan Spivey (Mark) of Hertford; and his siblings, Katherine Copeland of Tyner, Christine Hollowell (Jerry) of Tyner, Dianne Bass of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jacob Jordan (Carol) of Elizabeth City and James Jordan (Bonnie) of Merry Hill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
With the resurgence of the Covid Virus in the area, no formal visitation is planned; however, friends are invited to speak with the family at the gravesite immediately following the service.
