She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmas Cody and Grace Cody; her brother Dan Cody; her former husband Dan Barnes; and her husband Wayne Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Barnes (Janice), Michelle Walters (Tim) and Tim Barnes (Glenys). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Faith Baptist Church (110 Reese St, Gastonia, NC 28056). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery (1508 Charles Raper Jonas Hwy, Mt Holly, NC 28120).
